Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band Brings Unique Blend of Blues Rock to Midland

Known as a guitar hero for creating a unique sound that blends the blues and rock music genres, Kenny Wayne Shepherd is an award-winning artist with an upcoming performance at Midland Center for the Arts, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale at midlandcenter.org or by calling the Ticket Office at 989-631-8250.

In a 25-year recording career that began when he was just 16, Shepherd has established himself as an immensely popular recording artist, a consistently in-demand live act and an influential force in a worldwide resurgence of interest in the blues. He continues to create genre-defining blues-infused rock n' roll with notable hits like, “Blue on Black,” “True Lies,” “Dark Side of Love,” and many more.

Shepherd has built an enviable resume as an accomplished recording artist, a riveting live performer and one of the most talented and distinctive guitarists of his generation. “We are thrilled to bring Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s unique sound to the Great Lakes Bay Region, and welcome patrons to the Center for concert events that cross multiple genres,” said Josh Holliday, Director of Communications at Midland Center for the Arts.
