Michigan has a wealth of cultural traditions that make up the fabric of the creative sector, and some of the greatest creations coming out of the Great Lakes have a moment to shine each year as the Michigan Traditions Arts Program of Michigan State University present the annual Michigan Heritage Awards.
Michigan is spoiled with the beauty of 4 seasons, dreamy tourist destinations, and a robust selection of arts and cultural offerings in every corner of it’s fresh coast - but many people would agree that the thousands of festivals that pop-up from as far south as Coldwater in the Lower Peninsula to the northern most point of Ironwood in the Upper Peninsula, are what make the mitten state such a vibrant place to call home and visit.
