LEGO Sculptures On Display at Grand Rapids Public Museum

Take the entire family over to the Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) as one of the most popular toys for children is on display with a new LEGO® Bricks exhibit is on display. Discovery several artistic LEGO structures with the award-winning traveling exhibit, Sean Kenney’s Wild Connections, produced by Imagine Exhibitions, which is currently on display at the GRPM through spring 2021.

In addition to this exciting new exhibit, the Museum recently announced they will be hosting a live, interactive program with Artist Sean Kenney, on Sunday, March 14 at 1 p.m. via Facebook live. The live conversation will feature Kenney sharing his experience as a professional artist working with LEGO bricks, a behind-the-scenes tour of his studio space and will conclude with Kenney answering questions submitted by viewers in real time. 

“The GRPM is excited to offer this unique opportunity for the community to interact with Sean,” said Alee’a Cherry, the GRPM’s Marketing Manager. “Wild Connections has been well-received by visitors and we’re hopeful this interview will spark curiosity within viewers to be curious, create and follow their passions.” 

Sean Kenney, Wild Connections Artist, shared, “I'm looking forward to meeting with members of the GRPM community, and sharing my thoughts on the process of how we bring these sculptures to life.”

Visitors can explore the beauty and wonder of the exhibit at the GRPM - Sean Kenney's Wild Connections Made with LEGO® Bricks - open through Sunday, May 2, 2021. Timed tickets on the hour are available at grpm.org or by calling 616.929.1700. Tickets will be $12 for adults and $7 for children with discounts for Kent County residents and Museum members.
