Crooked Tree Arts Center and its board of directors are pleased to announce the promotion of Megan DeWindt to the position of organization President. DeWindt will continue to perform her duties as Site Director of the Petoskey facility in addition to assuming primary responsibility for the overall operations of Crooked Tree Arts Center.

The CTAC Board is also pleased to announce the promotion of Megan Kelto, previously Site Director of the Traverse City facility, to Vice President of the organization, taking on additional management responsibilities for various organization-wide activities.

“Approximately a year ago, Megan DeWindt and Megan Kelto were asked to assume management responsibilities in their respective facilities after the departure of long-time Executive Director and President Liz Ahrens,” said Joe Kimmell, CTAC Chairman.

“In those roles, DeWindt and Kelto helped guide CTAC through what has been one of the most challenging years in our history. With their leadership, CTAC has not only weathered the economic and operational challenges of the past year, but also broadened its programming and financial support, laying a foundation for an even stronger arts organization going forward,” Kimmell continued.

With the advances in virtual programming achieved in the last year, the lines separating programming in Petoskey and Traverse City have become much less defined, and programming in both locations is now often made available throughout our entire area, as well as nationally. The board recognizes the incredible contribution DeWindt, Kelto, and their respective staff have made and looks forward to them leading Crooked Tree Arts Center into an exciting future.
