Two-Year Retrospective Series on Display in Ludington by Resident and Artist Rabbit

The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) is currently hosting an exhibit by former Grand Rapids artists and current Ludington resident Rabbit in the art center’s main gallery entitled ‘Rabbit’s Universe: Finding Joy Through COVID Conflict & Quarantine’ a two-year retrospective series from March 2020 – March 2022.

Rabbit AKA James Thomas, considers his visual art to be modern impressionism. He has studied at Grand Valley State University, Kendall College of Art and Design and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Rabbit’s exhibit will feature over 100 original paintings he has created over the past two years as well as a number of found object sculptures, installations and writings.

Rabbit’s ‘Rabbit’s Universe: Finding Joy Through COVID Conflict & Quarantine’ a two-year retrospective series from March 2020 – March 2022 exhibit will be on display through March 26 during normal LACA business hours (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). The exhibit is free to view.

LACA will play host to a pair of public artists receptions Friday, March 18 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, March 25 from 5-8 p.m. In addition to giving community members an opportunity to meet Rabbit while taking in the exhibit and enjoy music and drinks.
